Our Most Used Baby Items

Happy Friday friends! I am so happy to be back to blogging and this week I wanted to talk about the things we use the absolute most. These are things that I guess you would call our "essentials" and we don't go a day without them!

The first item is our Thinkbaby sippy cup. I love this cup for so many reasons. The main reason I purchased this cup for the first time was because of the steel option. I have tried to skip plastic in our kitchen for so many reasons, most importantly because of chemicals leaking out even if they are BPA free. It keeps his water cold for hours and hours! This helped us so much in the summer if we accidentally left it in our hot car, took it with us to the beach, or just about any hot place you may go. We do have a couple of the plastic because the steel can be a little heavy to start out with but I lean more towards the steel. Both are great!

You can choose the straw option (Fletcher's favorite) or go with a different topper. It's easy to clean in the dishwasher, comes in a couple colors, and is easy to hold with the handles. Doesn't leak which is huge bonus!

We don't use bowls and plates a whole lot yet (unless we want them tipped over and our food everywhere) but the one we do use the most is this Avanchy wooden bowl and spoon set. Again, I try to avoid plastic at all costs especially when it comes to Fletcher's things. This bowl looks brand new and we have been using it since Christmas time. It has a suction so he can't make an even bigger mess and its removable for when he gets older. We are still working on the spoon but so far he loves to chew on it lol.

This glass mason jar is small but has had SO many uses over the last year. I first purchased a few cases of these 4 oz mason jars to store my breastmilk. I wanted to avoid plastic storage bags because they are known to leak and I wanted to avoid plastic. I had no clue how much use i'd get other then milk.

I didn't pump very much after the first couple months of motherhood because Fletcher wouldn't take a bottle and I hated wasting milk. I had so many jars and I thought "What can I do with all these?". I first started using them for condiments, small food storage, and leftovers. Then when Fletcher reached 6 months we began our baby led weaning. I stored foods for him in the jars and realized just how perfect they were. If you are pregnant and planning for baby items I definitely think picking up a couple cases is totally worth it!

These Mini + Meep bibs I purchased for Fletcher when he was just a couple months old and I continue to use them every single day! I originally bought them when he began the drooling phase. I wanted a bib that he couldn't tear off and something that would last over time made with organic cotton. I discovered these and I have been obsessed ever since.

For a bib they can be a little more on the high end price but I promise these are totally worth it! Like I said before, we started out when he was really little because of the drool and continued to use them for feedings. If you bottle feed these would be awesome! Other than the most adorable graphics(these are just two of my favorites.. I have so many cute ones) , my favorite thing is that they pull over their head so they can't undo velcro or a snap. I love supporting small businesses and this brand is awesome!

Shoes have been such a hard thing for us to get for Fletcher. He has the smallest yet chubbiest feet lol! He isn't quite walking yet but it is coming soon. We ordered his first pair of Freshly Picked Moccasins several months ago and he got a TON of use out of them. We chose the weather brown color and they went with everything! Highly recommend that color if you are looking for a good neutral. The quality is unreal and I wish I could own a pair haha. The crazy part about them is that they actually stay on no matter how hard he tries to take them off. It's like magic or something. We just ordered him his next pair in a bigger size because I loved them so much. Totally worth the money and I love that I can continue to use them if we have anymore kiddos.

These swaddles seem super popular right now so i'm sure you've seen them around but they are huge favorite around here. I first bought a little unicorn swaddle for our newborn photo session just because of the pattern. (I had purchased a few Aden and Anais swaddles previously but these Little Unicorn ones I love even more.) They not only have the cutest patterns but they are even softer then the other brands we own! After the swaddling days I thought my use for them would be over.. I was totally wrong because they are Fletcher's pacifier without a doubt. He never took to a binky or anything that really soothed him which made days really hard but as soon as he was allowed to sleep with a blanket he has been hooked! They make the perfect nursing cover and multi purpose item too.

Last but not least I have to talk about one of my favorite companies Upchoose! Several months ago I came across them and when I heard about their organic cotton clothing sets I had to try them out. They provide EVERYTHING your baby needs clothing wise in one set. You have the option to choose pre loved or new and can pay for your set in monthly installments. You save money on gorgeous organic cotton pieces while supporting an eco-friendly company. When your baby out grows them you have the option of returning them for credit on your next set. Its an amazing concept and we are on our second set already because we love it so much! I have a coupon code for you guys if you want to try it out. If you use code TRENDYANDTIRED you get $15 off your set! *Not sponsored btw
